In this evening at the Washington Mindfulness Community, we will practice to come home to the island within us that very much needs our care. This is what helps up to show up fully for others, our communities and our society, especially in times of division and discord. We will learn to strengthen and apply mindfulness in all areas of our daily life, with ourselves, in our intimate relationships, workplaces, communities and in our actions in the world. We will learn more about how to nourish healing and wholesome mind-states, how we can cultivate joy, and care for our painful emotions, both at an individual and collective level.
We will take time to fully experience our bodies, hearts and minds, through mindful breathing and walking, as well as mindful movement and sharing with others.
Schedule: Sitting and walking meditation from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
Dharma Talk and Discussion from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.
Social Time from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
