This workshop is for artists and for anyone wishing to unlock their creativity and overcome their inhibitions to full expression. We will explore mindfulness practices that can help each of us connect with and enliven our creative fire. Mindfulness is being here now, with kindness and openhearted curiosity. Cultivating this source of energy is vital to reconnecting with our creative life force. During the workshop, we will slow down and come home to our body and breath by practicing sitting, walking and eating meditation together, as well as deep relaxation, mindfulness teachings, and group discussion. We will also use the tools of InterPlay—improvisational movement, voice and storytelling—to encourage creative exploration and embody mindfulness through play.
This workshop is open to everyone. No mindfulness experience required. Limited scholarships are available.
