Parents and their children ages 6-12 are invited to come explore how mindfulness can help us to connect more deeply to each other and to ourselves. We will learn how to nourish our joy and take care of difficult emotions through the practices of mindful breathing, pebble meditation and the art of flower-wateringa practice of sharing our appreciation for each other. Learn how your family can develop a strong foundation of mindfulness that can support your lives together.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to learn from a Dharma teacher who has 15 years of experience teaching mindfulness practices to kids and families in Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village community. Kaira Jewel Lingo leads mindfulness retreats and programs worldwide, and she is the editor of the book, Planting Seeds: Practicing Mindfulness with Children. Limited scholarships are available.
