In this retreat we will learn to come home to the island within us that very much needs our care. We will learn to strengthen and apply mindfulness in all areas of our daily life, with ourselves, in our intimate relationships, workplaces, communities and in our actions in the world.
We will take time to fully experience our bodies, hearts and minds, through mindful breathing, walking, and eating, as well as mindful movement and sharing with others. We will learn more about how to nourish healing and wholesome mind-states, how we can cultivate joy, and care for our painful emotions. We will slow down and enter into quiet communion with ourselves, the environment, and each other. With the help of nature-based practices and the improvisational forms of Interplay-- an active and creative approach to unlocking wisdom of the body, appropriate for all bodies and abilities--we will dwell deeply in the present moment and live our lives to the fullest.
The retreat is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditation practitioners.
